I caught news about you being here - and why - when you were being interviewed on CBC radio.
Welcome to this province and I hope you have had a good start to your surfing journey.
We have Canadian troops coming back with brain injuries as well - undiagnosed and untreated. (A brain injury is the "signature" wound of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars because of the concussive explosion forces.) There are also many brain injury survivors unrelated to war.
Everyone with a brain injury needs help and rehab, and all too often that is not available.
Thank you for your efforts to raise awareness about brain injury.
