Nashville,TN visit with Janet Garner

We departed Memphis on 7/21 and headed to Nashville to visit our ex neighbor from ATL ,Janet Garner. It was hard to believe she moved 5 years ago.She has a lovely house, and welcomed us with open arms for a too short visit.Other than seeing her,the absolute highlight of our stay was a songwriters Friday evening(see preceding pictures) at THE BLUEBIRD CAFE.I noticed that Mike Reid,an All American defensive tackle from Penn State,Outland Trophy winner 1969,All-Pro with the Bengals, concert pianist, just elected member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, was on the docket for 7/24.I have been following his career since his college days because I'm in awe of the contradiction in his range of talents. He has written 17 #1 hits.It was a once in a lifetime chance to hear him perform his own songs. We found out upon arrival that the other 3 song writers had written some 8 or 9 #1 hits. This was the cream of Nashville talent. They performed from 9:30pm to 12:30am;and then visited with the patrons for another 45 minutes.David Vincent Williams performed the last hit of the evening "Movin'On"by Rascal Flatts that he wrote and composed.A song very meaningful in my life.WHAT A WONDERFUL EVENING!!
